"Our Batteries Last Too Long"

Our Batteries are built stronger so they last longer but without proper maintenance you are reducing your opportunity to maximise the life of your battery.

Most batteries these days are classed as being maintenance free. We encourage our customers to take the following steps to ensure their Bond Battery does indeed last too long.

1.Using a multimeter check the voltage of your battery while the vehicle not started.

• 12.6 volts or above indicates your battery is fully charged
• 12.5 volts indicates a healthy battery but should be monitored to ensure voltage does not drop further.
• 12.4 volts indicates your battery is partially discharged and should be recharged as soon as practicable utilizing a suitable battery charger. This has the potential to reduce the lifespan of your battery.
• 12.0 volts and below suggests the battery is fully discharged. Leaving your battery in this state for extended periods will substantially reduce the lifespan of your battery.

2. Check the State of Charge indicator located on the top of your battery. The indicator should be green. In situations where it is white or black we recommend you visit your local Bond Batteries branch for further investigation.

3.Finally, to ensure your battery is maintained at full charge we recommend charging your battery with a suitable battery charger at least 3 monthly or if you are not driving as much, on a monthly basis.
